Geneva Motorshow: Infiniti Essence Concept, a 600hp Green Supercar!

Infiniti brought forward Japan's future in the Geneva Motorshow today by introducing the Essence Concept. A 4.7 meter long, Hybrid Petrol/Electric supercar, the Essence Concept is powered by a 3.7ltr V6 Twin Turbo engine combined with an electric engine electrocombusting this super coupe to a staggering 592hp, of which 434hp was boost through the V6 banger (you do the remaining maths).

Featuring a mesh of liquid metal design cues, the Infiniti Essence Concept pushes the Nissan luxury arm's design language further, imagine placing a dot on every curving point of a 3D visual of a 370z in AutoCAD, grouped em up, click and hold your mouse and then drag it across the coffee table is what you get here. It pushes the boundary of automotive metal stamping production techniques, and outright shouts "I have a larger flame for my surface" to Chris Bangle. The results are an intricate piece of automotive art in the making.

Light shining through the entire one piece glass roof that spans from the front to rear windscreen softens up the red toned cocoon shaped interior where driver and passenger was surrounded by thick padded layers of "This is how you should sit and this is where you must place your hand" interior, and of course, being a concept, the outrageous cockpit designs looked like something that came outright from Naruto. (Imagine if LCDs and LEDs was invented in 1940s and you get the idea) Go through the picture slideshow to see all of the images released officially by Infiniti and a video presentation of the Essence Concept. Oh did I forget to mention those Louis Vuittion briefcases? Bah, who cares about luggage when we're oohing and aahing over a 600hp Hybrid Supercar?
