Detroit Auto Show 2009: 2010 Lincoln MKT is production ready!

We love the Ford Flex, the media love the Ford Flex, the industry experts love the Ford Flex. But face it, Americans weren't exactly fans of minimalist styling, especially something like a larger Mini Cooper Clubman. Thus the Lincoln MKT. Gone are those Scandinavian simplistic lines, in goes the American design languages. Loud, presence demanding and angry. Or perhaps a big wide teethy smile look dominating your rearview mirror in 2010.

So is this just another badge engineering 3 minute job from the Detroit Beg 3? Nope. Far from it in fact, as the Lincoln MKT was equipped with a host of features that's definitely going to make its entry to the market a loud one.

Thus, being a premium (sort of) model; let's go with the expected stuffs. Active Cruise Control? Checked. Active Park Assist? Checked. Power? Ecoboost 3.5ltr V6 Twin Turbo Direct Injection gets the job done with 355hp on tap, or the Duratec 3.7ltr V6 with 268hp. Transmission? 6 Speed paddle shifters. Entertainment? How about a THX II Certified 14 Speaker system integrated with Sirious Satellite Navigation and Sync ready USB connection for some iPoding?

How about the materials? Weren't American cars famous for fiddly stuffs? No sir, never especially after the recent spankings, as the Lincoln MKT is equipped with some of the finest interiors you'll find, of course it still doesn't look as teutonic as Audi's but the material, the layout the switch gears all seems to give very good promises. Will this give a good fight to the likes of Toyota's Venza and Honda's MDX? Definitely. In fact, the Ford Flex already do.
