Fiat cuts 163,000kg of CO2 with eco:Drive

Remember the eco:Drive from Fiat that we reported earlier on? Well since released in October 2008, to Fiat 500 and Fiat Punto Grande owners, response has been massive, and the positive gains from this simple driving technique tracking system had achieve massive following and practice.

Revealed today, the eco:Drive compiled by Fiat's data (When owners update their driving data to study on how they can improve efficiency levels), Fiat managed to reduce carbon emissions by 163,000kg, after just 2 months. Imagine what it could do to motorists if its mandated that ALL cars manufactured from now on (like tomorrow...) must be equipped with this system.

Motorists, remember: It's not which car you drive, its how you drive them. It'll be useless for manufacturers to spend tens of billions trying to design and develop engines and transmissions that are efficient, if drivers are still heavy on their foot.
