The Alfa 147's successor will debut in year 2009, till now, no information on it has been leaked, thou previous so-called spy shots had turned out to be the Alfa MiTo. The guys at Progetto had done up a rendering of the 149, of which we think it's just a better looking MiTo with distinctive curves.
Our verdict? We strongly doubt the arrival of the 149, upon seeing the Alfa MiTo; we do conclude it's everything a 149 should be, and if there really was a 149, how will they position it? How else can they position into their lineup?
What Alfa seriously needs now, is to get down and work on a RWD 4 door 3 Series rival with a transmission placed at the rear (for marketing purposes), and then there's room for talking.
