Ingolstadt's Assault - Audi A7

Auto Express reports on the Audi A7, with a very good artist rendition of how it might/would/should have looked like when it's due to launch in year 2010.

With Audi filling into every possible niche, and doing well (Except the A8), the A7 will be taking on the likes of the second generation CLS, the upcoming BMW 8 Series. Using a stretch underpinning from the A5's platform, the A7 is said to be again utilizing a rear biased Quattro system, and will also sport Audi's 2nd generation MMI; rumors has it that Audi will aim to create a higher benchmark in interior fittings - current Audi's interiors are better fitted than a Rolls Royce Phantom.

With engines ranging from the newly launched Supercharged 3.0 V6 TFSi all the way to the S7/RS7 which might be employing the current V10 Twin Turbo from RS6, or hopefully, the V12 TDi from Q7.

Finger's crossed.
