Do you know how much CO2 you produce annually?

We've all heard world leaders, environmentalists, tree huggers babbling day in day out on CO2 emissions; global warming or global dimming alike. Of course, US leaders "worrying" about BRIC's increasing CO2 output. Well, let's have a quick check on just how polluting YOU and YOUR COUNTRY is shall we?

Since the US is the undisputed leader in almost everything, we'll throw the gauntlet with this World Leader first:

USA produces 1000 tonnes of CO2 every 5.3 seconds, averaging 19.66 tonnes each person annually!

CHINA produces 1000 tonnes of CO2 every 6.4 seconds, averaging 3.7 tonnes each person annually, a far cry from USA.

In comparison to developing or developed countries, Republic of Congo, the largest country in Africa Continent, takes 4.2 hours to produce 1000 tonnes of CO2, and each person produces just 0.03 tonnes of CO2 a year!

To know how much CO2 you or your country produces each year, just log on to www.breathingearth.net; updated real time base on average statistics per year, this website developed by David Bleja gives you a graphical view using flash.

Quite interesting and fun i must say, if you're the sort of person who logs on to Facebook day in day out, this could provide some alternative fun. Of course, remember to log back onto www.wheels-weekly.com to get more of such interesting news.
