2010 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT-S

When it comes to full size sedans, the obvious choices of the mediocre lots are of course the Lexus LS, Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series, with a few so-called 'advocates' opting for the Audi A8 or even bolder ones, the Jaguar XJ; of course there are also Nascar rednecks that would go for the Lincoln Town Car or the Cadillac DTS.
However if the same questions were to be given to automotive enthusiasts, its without doubt the Maserati Quattroporte would be the obvious choice.

Long before the so-called 4 door coupe segment that marketing bollocks came up with (thru their arses supposingly), the Italians had decided to create the ultimate performance saloon, not actually in outright areas of performance, as a BMW M5 would've had it for lunch easily; however what they've achieved, is the most difficult aspect, and at the same time the most groundbreaking achievement, is how seamlessly they've blend the flair and soul of an Italian supercar into a large sedan. (longer than an A8 actually)

The latest update to the Quattroporte GT-S, which will debut in year 2010 (wasn't that a tad too late?), the latest Quattroporte sports a recalibrated engine developing a solid 433 horsepowers and also a remapped transmission control unit, giving better shift points, suspension was also updated which was now claimed to be stiffer (not sure if its a good thing) for better handling, and pneumatic valves on the exhaust system with a captivating sound of an Italian V8 coming out of those new oval exhaust tips.

Aesthetics wise, the grills are now in deep black concave vertical fins, with updates in the interior including perforated Alcantara leather upholstery, and a titanium colored composite material as standard trim. Thou exciting, we can't help but feeling extending the Quattroporte into year 2010 doesn't sound very much exciting, no matter how good a car is, new models are expected every 5 years or so, especially given that its competition not only sports far higher levels of equipment and comfort levels that more than offset their lacking on aesthetic terms. However if you are someone who hates being driven around, and not wanting to look like you're driving someone around in a big 5 meter sedan, this however is your only choice.
