It's amazing how cost saving could do wanders creating niche cars and even niche-er cars. BMW had confirmed that the upcoming X1 will be offered in RWD variants as well, primarily targeting city driving folks who've never intend to go off road, and the only use of SUVs for them were either to tailgate others with more confidence, or to park on the curbs; and if you don't do both of these, you might just want to forgo the X1 sDrive (RWD)and just get yourself the uber good looking, functional, sexier-than-its-sedan-counterpart BMW 3 Series Touring that handles wonderfully.
