BMW cancels X7 and X2, focus on Mini Crossman and X4

Following the 'Depression' that's looming close to horizon, BMW had decided to cancel the X7 concept, which was poised to be one size above the X5, able to seat seven, and possess the same capabilities of the X6, and the same all-show-no-point sloping roof. The concept was dubbed PAS and was spied testing earlier on. However, BMW will start embarking on an X4, which carries the same proposition as the X6, which serves as a sportier, sleeker version of their (one number smaller siblings), the X4 will definitely carry the coupe profile of an X3, both filling in a niche above the X1. The X4 could even come with 2 doors, or perhaps a 'half' door like the ones on the Mazda RX-8. With the X6, X5 covering the top segment, the X3 and X4 going for mid size markets and the X1 serving as the entry level, BMW will then give the go to the Mini Crossman, working hand in hand with the X1 attracting new customers into the BMW Group, maintaining their leading position as the world's largest luxury automaker.
