Audi A1 Sportback - Detail Info

Following our previous report on the Audi A1 Sportback of which makes its official debut in the Paris Motor Show, we now have more details on this exciting new small car. Thou its not surprising to hear automakers claim 'innovative' electric drive trains that could travel around 60km-100km on electric alone, and perhaps a small petrol engine couple with an electric motor that would complement each other to cover a days travel. Now, the A1 sports the familiar 1.4TSi engine from VAG producing 150hp, which uses a supercharger and a turbocharger each in its phase of operation, then a small electric engine, which on its own could power the car for an uninterrupted 100km of traveling - Not new news in any sense as this seems like a common benchmark nowadays. One really interesting concept that seems destine to make its waves into the industry, is the little iPOD like device that will come with this car. First made its debut in the Audi MetroProject Quattro a few years back that previews the A1 Concept, now more details had surface with the unveiling of the A1 Sportsback.

The device would primarily serve as a phone, something that everyone now couldn't live without, and you're more likely to misplace your car keys than your phone anyway, Audi had now integrated the keyless entry system that now even finds itself into budget models into this phone. Better still, the phone is able to talk to your car, start your engine, on the aircons before you're done brushing your teeth. How's that for a premium little luxury small car? Cool's the word. Check out the photos of the yet to be name Audi Smart Phone unveiled with the previous Audi MetroProject Quattro.
