Another aneroxic supercar? Maserati Gran Turismo Trophy spied

There are just certain automobiles that we shouldn't try to make it go all out faster. Thou we're all thrilled with the F430 Scuderia, the Gallardo Superleggara, the 911 GT3; we weren't so sure about the idea of a Maserati Gran Turismo Trophy, pictured above, we can clearly see it's a stripped out version of the two door luxobarge derived from the Maserati Quattroporte platform, complete with what seems like a carbon fiber hood with a huge hood scoop and air vents (Supercharged??) and what seems like an empty interior. The Maserati Gran Turismo started life as a luxury, proper 2 seater, and like the name itself suggests, a Gran Turismo, meant to take more meaningful races against time, instead of the likes of hammering the Nurburgring, a GT was supposed to storm highways and desert straights in enormous speed, and enormous comfort, instead of the 'meagre' 13 kilometers of the Nordschleife, it's true purpose is perhaps from Madrid to Siberia, or New York to California.

And we have to apologize for judging it on prior, but it's definitely not going to be quicker than the F430 Scuderia or a Nissan GTR for that matter. One wrong step and you'll get all your fans disappointed Mr Trident.
