Mercedes AMG Gullwing SLC ?

Mercedes' upcoming supercar, which has been relentlessly spied since 2007, is Mercedes's first foray into the supercar since the splitting of McLaren and Mercedes. First thought to be an Audi R8 rival, then spotted testing, revealing a very long front end and short rear overhand suggesting a very similar format to the Mclaren Mercedes SLR, the SLC was further spotted featuring gullwing doors, prompting journalists all over the world to dub it as the Gullwing SLC.

A creation between a partnership of Mercedes Benz and H.W.A, Mercedes's partner in the German DTM Racing Series, the Gullwing SLC was shockingly reported by CAR Magazine of UK to 'NOT MARKETED AS A MERCEDES', instead it will be sold exclusively under the AMG, pushing AMG upwards as being an outright brand itself rather than a tuning arm of Mercedes.

Slated to be unveiled in the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the 4650mm long, 2700mm wheelbase, 1950mm wide, and 1250mm high AMG Gullwing SLC will be of similar proportions to the Ferrari F430.

This project C197 project (Internal codename) was previously rumored to be an Audi R8 direct rival, however recent sources had confirmed that this will be an outright top of the range super car from Mercedes, sending chills down our spine knowing this could be even more capable than the devastating Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series.

We can't wait, and thank god we saved time ignoring the 2009 Ford Mustang to report on this.
