Another all show no go Peugeot? Hopefully not, as this is very interersting

Once every while, Peugeot comes with dozens of concepts, gasping our breaths for a brief moment and then leaving us all with a disappointing fart, (pardon the lingual). This however, was rumored to possibly be the next Peugeot 408. Although it looked very exciting, somehow it's not as original as plenty of previous concepts by the 'Marching Lion' (Trying to coin something like a 'Prancing Horse'), with design hues heavily influence by R8, and the bonnet lines reminding the leaping cat, we could've only guessed its a Peugeot by the logo, a very large one, suggesting it's never shy of what it is, or it's shy of what it isn't.

Peugeot teased us with this image as a preview for this unnamed yet concept will debut in Paris, definitely one of the show stars that'll fill up your memory cards in seconds.

Looks are just one small side of the story, as this sportscar-like concept is a four seater, a sedan to be precise, and it's not just all show no go, it's also hybrid powered. Now if environmental friendly comes in such menacing looks, car enthusiasts who had long been regarded as evil people next to those who ride a bicycle or a bus, this is one good way for us to continue portraying that trait without really doing so. Hit the jump to check out the press release and other photos.

PEUGEOT SHOWCASES NEW HYBRID CONCEPT CAR AT THE PARIS MOTOR SHOW

The 'RC...' whose full name will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show, is a hybrid concept car created from the passion and expertise of Peugeot's stylists and engineers.

It is a 'GT' coupé which provides the missing link between the RC and concept cars revealed in 2002 and the 908 RC, one of the stars of the 2006 Paris Motor Show. It's a working laboratory of many future ideas and brings together numerous stylistic, engineering and technological ideas all in a single vehicle.

The 'RC...' is also an accessible and versatile car, with four doors, four seats and highly innovative hybrid architecture.

Its aim: a very high level of efficiency both in terms of performance (with its potential maximum power output of 313 bhp) and minimal impact on the environment (CO2 emissions of 109 g/km in the combined cycle or ZERO in electric mode).

It is an exciting, eco-efficient vehicle which has all the characteristics that also ensure great driving enjoyment; a synthesis of ideas which demonstrates that respect for the environment and driving pleasure can be compatible.

This looks like a 4-door with hidden rear door handles. I'd put my money on this being the next 608 as the 607 is due for a change very soon!
