Volkswagen Golf GTi W12

This post came in inspired by the Toyota Aygo Concept as well. As we're automotive journalists, our threshold to claim something as being 'Crazy' is somewhat higher than you ordinary folks.

This is what we would like to bring out of our bins to share with you, if the Aygo Crazy is crazy, this is madness, apocalypse, diabolic, insane.

We all read reviews all over the world where the 200hp Golf GTi was described as fast, really fast, well that's being done by a 4 cylinder, 2 liter turbocharged engine. Well, Volkswagen gave it a little swap, with the W12 6 liter twin turbocharged engine from a Bentley Continental GT, producing a staggering 650hp, powering the rear wheels by placing the engine right behind the driver and the passenger.

We might have thought that's enough, but VW went further by taking the rear axles and brakes from the Lamborghini Gallardo (Since VW owns Audi and Audi owns Lamborghini), sub frame from the Audi R8 and put it onto the GTi, lowering the GTi by 70mm, removing the rear windows to fit an air diffuser to suck air in from both rear windows, replacing the metal roof with a gigantic carbon fiber spoiler and widening the car to 1.88meters in width.

The result is this superb looking ONEHELLUVA beast. Aygo Crazy, lol.
