Porsche will be using FSi in the 911 Turbo, GT2 and GT3

Porsche will be offering Direct Injection (Fuel Stratified Injection in VAG's terms) Engines into their lineup of 911 Turbo, GT2 and GT3 further achieving better power and fuel economy; saving the polar bears while tearing around tracks.

Unlike Fuel Injection cars (99% of all cars? perhaps), which mixed air and fuel and then only deliver to the combustion chamber, Direct Injection engines features a fuel nozzle in the combustion chamber itself, injecting the exact correct amount of fuel at times of need, greatly reducing petrol consumption and provides more power.

And example of how efficient such engines are, Audi's 2.0 ltr Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection Engine (TFSi) is more fuel efficient than the new Honda Civic 1.8 ltr.
