Lotus teasing us with Eagle

Sources from Carscoop reports on a teaser image revealed by Lotus for it's upcoming 2+2 seater sportscar, which initially was slated to be unveiled at the British Motor Show in London come 22 of July. Sources had reported the 3.5 V6 engine from Toyota will be powering bird of prey with which will be modified to extract more power.

The Eagle will utilize the proven formula of shaving weight down to the feathers whilst providing adequate power. The chassis will be using the Versatile Vehicle Architecture (VVA) as shown in the APX concept unveiled in 2004.

Well 286hp to us wasn't quite worthy of replacing the Esprit which has a Twin Turbocharged 3.8 V6. Nonetheless, it is also rumored a turbocharged version of the Camry 3.5 V6 engine will be good enough to transform the 286hp Esprit replacement turkey to somewhere between 400hp worthy of it's name: Eagle
