Geneva Motorshow: Nissan Qazana Concept joins the 'Answers to questions none asked' bootcamp
I'm speechless when I saw this. Nissan said, its special, unique, blah blah blah blah. And then they showed this. It's almost a carbon copy of the Citroen C-Cactus concept. Let's explain how it came about, and of course its again some sort of crossover. Citroen's C-Cactus looks that weird because they're showing how to minimize production of assembly parts, as for this Qazana, it looked like this because it wanted to loo like nothing else - A good solid 0% for that attempt thou.
We've had sedan + supercars = Evolution, RS4, M3, M5 etc
We've had SUVs + supercars = X5, Cayenne, X6
We've had 'Coupes' + 2 doors = CLS, Passat CC
We're going to have supercars + limousines = Rapide, Estoque, Panamera etc
So what else is new? That no one haven't had thought of? Nissan must be thinking of this, and there ya go:
How about a Dune Buggy + Hatchback? That's something everyone's thinking of right now! No wonder no one's not buying anything! Aha!
Seriously Nissan, if you really think there's definitely a market for another crossover smaller than the Nissan Qashqai in Europe, good luck; but I'd reckon you won't find any profit margin left trying to squeeze it under the Qashqai.
I'd reckon you'd better be off producing the Sports Concept in Europe and Asia with a simple 2.0 Turbo engine and a FWD with limited slip differential. I'm sure you can reap more profit than trying to be unrealistic and answering questions no one even bother asking. And Qazana? What's next? Quackowacko? And please don't claim your design's original either.
