Audi Officially teases the Audi TT-RS

Finally, after millions of spy shots, leaks and rumors; Audi finally released the first images of the mega TT - The Audi TT-RS; which is the latest addition to the RS family following the RS4, RS6 the confirmed but yet unveiled RS5.

One very exciting news, is the addition of an entirely new engine that will debut with the TT-RS. For those who still remember, Audi's not only famous with their Quattro technology, Audi is amongst the first manufacturer to offer 5 valve per cylinder engine (B5 A4 1.8 Engine - Which at that time, only the Ferrari F355 does); and the wonderfully sonorous straight 5 engine. Yes, the TT-RS will come with a 2.5 ltr I5 turbocharged I5 engine, which gives far more smoother response than common 4 potters. Power should easily breach the 340hp mark, making the TT-RS a real Cayman and Z4 killer.

As much as these 'teaser' images tried looking like one, I reckon they've revealed everything we need to know about the TT-RS. Of course the interior will be swathed with tons of carbon fiber treatment, and the square bottom steering wheel. Another thing worth noting, is the obvious fixed rear spoiler, I'm not really sure how much more efficient it is compared to the current 'up-when-you-need' hydraulic operated spoiler, well of course you need extra visual cues for something that costs more right?
