2008 Paris Motor Show: Pininfarina B0

Pininfarina unveiled the B0 (B Zero) Concept car in the Paris Motor Show, an all electric vehicle that Pininfarina had developed with the help of Bollore, a French based company that had all the technical expertise in battery technologies and one of the forefront companies amidst the technology revolution of EV cars. Sporting usual lithium polymer batteries, the B0 was equipped with supercapacitors for storage of electricity. In fact with a few hours of charge, this B0 could travel 250km, and the batteries used could withstand 200,000km of charges. Another breakthrough is that the B0 was also equipped with solar panels on its roof to help recharge the car during travelling (hmm, a traffic jam might extend the car's range then). As we all know, electric cars are no slo mos, as electric motors tend to generate 100% of their torque at 0rpm, and the B0 could actually reach 60km/h in 6.3 seconds, which is considered pretty decent for a small little EV car. The Pininfarina B0 is slated for production towards end of 2009.

A small four seater that travels 250km per charge and doesn't emit anything? Oh and from the legendary Italian Carrozeria Pininfarina? We want!
