AC Schnitzer LCD Shift knob - Ultimate mod for lamers

As if preparing for the imminent day where automated manual gearboxes will reach 9 gears (It's now at 8, thanks to Lexus), and that somehow BMW would release a manual version of a 9 speed gearbox, AC Schnitzer had unveiled the ultimate mod for 'keen racers' who don't seem to have an idea which gear they're in (Yeah right), and they've come up with the perfect solution for this 'dilemma' (Supposedly haunting Tiff Needle and The Stig?!) where the gear knob is equipped with an LCD showing which gear you're currently engaging. And in true sarcasm to drivers of the Ultimate Driving Machine, AC Schnitzer claims that many drivers rely on 'feel' to 'guess' which gear they're in, hence this 'invention' would take the hassle or frustration out of them, so they could tackle corners in full concentration.

Imagination: "Full blast thru Chicago, down to the Hammerhead, **err... lets see which gear i'm in, ok 4th, then I should go 3rd...**"

LOL. Notice the equally lame iDrive cover too.

Keep to making performance enhancing mods, AC Schnitzer. And to making better looking bodykits. And rims too, for that matter.

LOL
