Australia's population is slightly less than that of Malaysia, however car ownership is much higher. Yet, as shown in this video, 20 years back, 776 Australians died in road accidents, whereas by year 2008, the fatality rate has dropped to 303. Malaysia on the other hand, had 7,800 people meeting their fate on the streets every year. That is a staggering 20 fold that of Australia's. Drive safe people. You might get away today, but perhaps not tomorrow.
