This confirms all speculation. Audi RS3 spied testing recently, sporting the 2.5 Turbo charged 5 cylinder engine that screams back to Audi's excellent heritage of 5 pot straighters. It got me wondering actually what makes Audi creating a brand new 2.5T 5 cylinder engine for the TT-RS, if there weren't anything to be slot beneath for economies of scale? Well this seems like the perfect answer - A 340hp Audi A3? Crazy? Yes, but since horses sells cars, why not?
In fact this got me thinking Audi A4's lineup could be further enhanced. 1.8T, 2.0T, 2.5T would be a good range to complement the 3.0 V6 Twin Turbo'ed S6. Any chance?
