Volkswagen Scirocco Studie R

The Scirocco, one of VW's most exiting car in recent years, had repeatedly garnered attention from motoring enthusiasts, fast becoming the next customization-fan-fare, with tuners all pouring in adding their aftermarket parts for this modern affordable road racer. Now we've previously reported about VW's plan of coming out with a Scirocco R, a 3.2ltr V6 model that's poised to be the king of hot hatches. However, with fuel prices sky rocketing earlier on, VW had made the painful decision of axing the 3.2ltr V6, and will be using a 2.0 TFSi engine, highly tuned to the regions of the current Audi S3, which develops 265hp. And now finally, VW surprised everyone by suddenly announcing the Scirocco Studie R, a 270hp with nice bonnet scoops, a more aggresive bumper, daytime running lights, rear spoiler and some nice touches to the side mirrors, with adjacent green and red paint. Inside, the Scirocco Studie R, gets the flat bottom steering wheel, the new symbol of performance model from Volkswagen Gruppe which came from the RS4, quickly making its way into Lamborghinis and performance VeeDubs; and two huge hugging carbon fiber race seats, adding to the speed factor before you even crank the engine. So? Will this be the Scirocco R20T? You bet, as everything we see here looks very much production viable, one thing's for sure thou, the Scirocco R20T won't cost just a 100 pound more than the GTi.
