Rumour: Nissan GTR LM! - V-Spec What?!

Now this is getting interesting, while speculations run wild on how much horsepower will the V-Spec generate, Japan's Best Car magazine had reported that an LM version could be in the making. Returning to the R33 GTR's roots of competing in Lemans and homologating a limited number of production run to qualify for the race. While we would certainly be very happy to see an even crazier GTR, we're wondering how crazy can they go? Back in the 90s, all Japanese sportscars are 'limited' to 280hp, hence when news of something that goes 400hp or 500hp would've been considered OMFG, the GTR now, which relatively a bargain already produce 480hp on the brochure and 520hp on the dyno; have what sort of margins to play with? Not to even mention that the V-Spec already is supposed to produce 520hp on brochure and perhaps around 550hp on dyno, an LM version producing 600hp could just be a few tweaks to the ECU, exhaust, intake and exhaust manifolds away.

And of course, even a 6 year old kid could speculate performance versions 'correctly' by simply stating 'faster, lighter, more hp, more torque, more carbon fiber, larger brakes, more aerodynamic kit, roll cage, 6 point harness' all that crap that makes even a school bus go faster.

Possibility of an LM edition? Check the stock market and your local dealers to see if your mill runner Sentra/Maxima/Cefiro/Latio/Versas are selling well or not and you will know if Nissan had extra disposable income to go ahead with such costly programs, where its primary function is just to boost the brand - where GTR had already done so easily.
