Nissan says: "Eat that Porsche"

Nissan is really not letting go of Porsche we'd guessed. After having created a record 7 minute 29 second run at the Nurburgring, which is even faster than Porsche's own Carrera GT hypercar, shattering the record for production cars, despite being a $72,000 USD sportscar. Porsche then couldn't let this go past them (especially since Nurbugring is situated in Germany, Porsche's own backyard), and they bought a stock standard GTR from USA, brought it to the Nurburgring and tests relentlessly against their very own 911 Turbo and 911 GT2, then announced that Nissan's claim on the N-Ring run as incomprehensible 'Provided a different set of tyres was used' as they claim they couldn't get anyway near the 7 minute 29 second claims proven by Nissan, and the best they could achieve is 7 minutes 54 seconds.

This of course infuriated Nissan and in a press statement, Nissan states down all that needs to be explained, even stating that they're 'willing to help individuals or manufacturers on how to extract the best performance of all GTRs they've purchased' - Which reads

"Hi Porsche,

Do you want a driving lesson from me?

Regards,

Yours Truly,
Nissan,
The manufacturer of Nissan Vanette Commercial Vans."

Now having not receive an application letter from Porsche or an apology letter from Porsche, Nissan released the set of tyres used at their record shattering Nurburgring run, which are Dunlop tyres, optional to the Bridgestones that comes as standard.

Like we said earlier on, even if Porsche manages to prove the GTR is slower around the ring than a 911 Turbo, they would still have to refute findings from various reputable car magazines.
