Birth of Nissan GTR documented by National Geographic

We never knew a publication mainly consisting of pyramids, mummies, hummingbirds and penguins would beat the automotive journalist world of going up close and personal on the very birth of the Japan performance icon. Over four years back, National Geographic approached Nissan in an attempt to document the birth of a vehicle from conception to release. Of course National Geographic weren't after likes of Nissan Sentra or March, and Nissan sort of figured that out, and after the signing of a highly secretive Non Disclosure Act, National Geographic starts documenting the entire process of the phenomenal Nissan GTR. We'd always thought such attention would've only be given to the likes of Ferraris and Lamborghinis, hopping over even their own luxury brand Infiniti, now Nissan, named Datsun earlier on, is at the very center of attention. Amazing documentary, painstaking background preparations, luckily, all you have to do, is to watch it, here at Wheels Weekly.
