Mercedes released the first batch of official photos with a press release on the McLaren Roadster 722 S, a 650hp, 335km/h monster, with of course loads of carbon fiber, loads of mentioning about the AMG hand built 5.5 ltr Supercharged V8, and loads of Alcantara, BOSE sound system, and an electronically assisted canvas roof, of which the driver only needs to release the clips manually and the mechanicals will then take over it. One thing's not mentioned thou, the SLR weighs around 1800kg, and we all know removing a roof actually adds weight, and there's no mention of it anywhere. Any guesses of the official weight? To be honest, it's no good scrutinizing on the weight of something that's collectively a sum up of the greatest in engineering and manufacturing, its perhaps the Paris Hilton flash flare that keeps us from focusing on the dynamics of this car too seriously.
