Here's the first leaked official images of the Lexus IS. Changes were subtle and minimal but on overall re-freshened the Lexus entry model. As of now, its reported that there won't be much changes to the IS except the Electronic Stability Control system will be upgraded. In true Wheels Weekly fashion, we will always place existing models next to facelift models for a better comparison to point out what was updated.
First go, the chrome linings along the grill are now more sculpted and prominent as oppose to the thin lining of the pre-facelift, integrating more of Lexus's L-Finesse design philosophy, which intends to give the impression of something smoothly formed, yet sharp in it's final progress. (Think, liquid metal flowing into a sharpening edge and hardening). The side mirrors are now more sculpted and we could also witness the indicator lights are also elegantly blended into the new design. As for the rear lamp clusters, the reverse lights are now in a more fluid, L shape.
Apart from the facelift, the rumored IS Cabriolet is now a definite yes, and we shall be able to witness the IS Cabrio shortly, in the upcoming Paris Motor Show. Yes, like everyone else, we're awaiting eagerly. Very eagerly. Hit the jump to view more photos leaked.
