Are legislators trying to hard? - Daytime Running Lights

A new European ruling had legislated that all cars in Europe will have to be equipped with daytime running lights, for which you CANNOT turn it off whilst driving in daytime. In Scandinavian countries, drivers had the habit of 'ONning' their head lamps even driving in daylight. No doubt with switching on your headlamps whilst driving in daytime increases visibility greatly, however its a novelty that motorcyclists get to enjoy, since their relative smaller mass, of which at certain angles, an entire motorcycle on the driver's 1'oclock position (or 11 'oclock if your in a LHD country) could be blocked by the A-pillar; requires more attention than their four wheel counterparts, hence with most countries adopting the legislation of enforcing motorcyclists to on their headlamps had reported results of better visibility in motorcycles through surveys.

However, there's one thought here, with every other car switching on their headlights whilst driving in daytime, motorcycles will then naturally turned into blind spots. So what's next? With every single moving thing on the roads switching on their headlamps in the call of awakening to road safety, what's next for motorcyclists? A pole flag a la shopping market carts to indicate their existence? And what if it was found that cars with pole flags would also increase their visibility?

"Oh sorry, I can't see notice your Hummer cos you ain't got no flag pole up there."

Yeah right.
