US market down - German Trio changes plans

With the downfall of the US automotive market, BMW had canceled shipments of more than 40,000 vehicles originally aimed for the US market to more profitable markets, BMW even canned the initially planned uber huge X7 SUV based on the 7 Series to developments of a possible X4 Crossover which is slightly smaller than the X6 but more upmarket than the X3 (What the?!)

Audi had decided to stop developments on the Hybrid Q7, and transfered development to the smaller Q5 which would prove to be a more popular choice given current scenarios. As for Mercedes, they've decided to cut down production of their SUV models in the Alabama plant and focus on sedans.
