The one and only Maserati MC12 Corsa up for sale

Luxury marques need to be involved in racing developments to fulfill their customer's ego to make the plunder in cash for their products, however most GT races requires manufacturers to race cars that they actually sell, which are called homologation rules. This is required so that manufacturers couldn't just plunge in a billion dollar and create one crazy racer and grab all trophies, they would need to produce the racers as well.

Maserati's MC12, a non street legal homologated production car for the MC12 racer is one such example, where only 50 was built to be sold for them to qualify into the GT Championships, while all were sold briefly, and customers demanded for an even faster version, hence the MC12 Corsa, of which only 12 was built, and alike the Ferrari FXX, they're all illegal for road use as well. However one German owner had modified his and is the only road legal MC12 Corsa available, and it's now for sale, at a price of 1.45 million Euro; 45% higher than what it initially cost to buy.

Our verdict? 1.45 million for some wire mesh and crappy interior? Bugatti Veyron please.
