Seems the petrol price hike might be a pesky thing for automotive manufacturers worldwide, it's god given for others.
With many manufacturers turning their attention to small cars, hybrids or hydrogen (whatever) cars are forever cars, and in terms of petrol consumption, are no where near what motorcycles could offer.
Moreover motorcycles are immune to traffic jams, (except in countries where it's illegal for motorcycles to travel in between cars) allowing commuters to be on time, to be quick and efficient. Seems that's the case with consumers as car sells fell 13%, motorcycle sales jumped 22% in UK.
