Mechanic behind bars for not giving up vehicle to customer - Who doesn't pay?!

If ther's cars, there's owners, and there's mechanics. A while back we reported on some kid in US who've commissioned a $16,000 USD tune up of his Celica with no money to pay, ending up with the garage taking possession of his car to sell for covering the losses incurred - Under the acknowledgment of local police. Over the Atlantic, things turned out differently, a mechanic, named Darren Tandy, 34, was arrested over a dispute when the Range Rover owner refused to pay the agreed amount of £1127, then later offered £950 for the job and threatened Tandy he would alarmed the police if he don't agree lowering the amount, of which the customer had re-quote and deemed worth of only £850, which was then later re-valued at £550, of which was even lower than the cost of the parts.

Well of course Tandy rejected the 'offer' and subsequently police came and Tandy was charged with 'Breach of the Peace' and was arrested and put behind bars for a brief 3 hours and then released without charge. Of course during the event, the customer got to collect his car by paying £800. Tandy then later file a complaint to the Northrumbia Police Department of which they quickly took action and launched an 'investigation' of which the quick results showed there weren't any 'Breach in conduct'.

Bollocks.
