Mazda RX-9 to run on Hydrogen and Gasoline !

AutoExpress reported according to sources, Mazda will be employing a Rotary Engine that runs on either Hydrogen of Gasoline. With city driving, the driver can toggle between Hydro or Gaso power to reduce on gasoline consumption, at the expense of 20% lower power output.

Currently there's a fleet of RX-8 (Pictured above) offered solely on lease in Japan applying this technology. Further proofing Mazda is no NATO (No Action, Talk Only) in their quest for this renewable energy.

The sources also reveal that the RX-9 will be featuring design cues from the Mazda Taiki concept.
