First official images! - 2009 Volkswagen Golf MK VI

Wheels Weekly brings you the first images of the 2009 Volkswagen Golf MK 6, the 6th generation of the evergreen Volkswagen Golf.

Ever since it's creation back in the 70s to replace the Beetle, the Golf had long been regarded as one of the most successful automobiles in modern history, especially the GTi that pioneered the hot hatch segment. After the successful MK1 and MK2, thou with a lack luster MK3 and 4, the MK5 is the true hero that once again place VW's Golf in the center of attention, selling in huge numbers worldwide.

And now we present to you, exclusive, world's first report on the Volkswagen Golf MK VI. Featuring almost an identical look from the rendering by German Magazine AutoBild, the new Golf features the Scirocco like grill, a more angular and edgy approach to the rear lamps, the same 'perfect' proportions for a hatch, and a very decent, good looking interior.

Let's wait for VW's official images on the 6th of August, and the car will debut in the upcoming October Paris Motor Show.

As for time being, we believe these images are sufficient for Golf fans.
