Citroen 2CV Concept

French designer David Portela and his 'resurected' Citroen 2CV, which commemorates the original 2CV launched in year 1948, said to be the next Ford Model-T from France, provided a cheap car for post-war France, mobilizing millions in Europe, the shape and built of the car had been regarded as a classic in modern times, and countless 'hopes' for it's resurrection was heard over many times.

Thou most of us love the nostalgic factor of seeing an old classic being built again, of which Volkswagen started the trend in year 1998 with the New Beetle, subsequently with BMW, which after having bought Mini, resurrected the New Mini with phenomenal success in year 2002; Fiat had also resurrected it's Fiat 500 with alot of success.

However as much as all of us love to see old classics reincarnated in modern creations, practicality of the car has to be the top concern, and of course the dynamics, drivability and many other factors. This creation from Portela is kind of far away from those simple criterias, hence our verdict or this concept is: Thank you, NEXT PLEASE.
