Acura to introduce independent line up

The luxury arm of Honda which was established in US to rival the likes of Audi, BMW, Lexus and Mercedes had always been regarded as 'tarted-up' Hondas, as their current line-up were either re-badged Hondas, or re-bumpered Hondas.

In a move for expansion, Honda's Vice President for Corporate Planning & Logistics, Dan Bonawitz had revealed that Honda will be planning a line-up expansion plan for Acura, which would include the replacement for the long overdue RSX Coupe (Honda Integra), and a 4 door coupe to rival the upcoming Mercedes CLS, Audi A7 and the rumored BMW 8 Series; there are also plans to introduce a rival to the BMW 1 Series, Audi A3 lineup.

This is very exciting news as signals the strong intention for Acura to go head on with the German Trios, and it would also trigger Lexus on a lineup explosion plan.
