Toyota Prius in high demand: 2nd hand costs more to buy!

With the high price of petrol, the Toyota Prius is experiencing an exceptional surge in demand in US. JD Power's recent study had revealed that a new Prius sits no longer than 5 days in dealers, where second hand Prius sits no longer than 20 days in the lots.

Another astounding discovery; a new Prius averaged at a price of $26,672 US dollars, but a 2nd hand Prius with less than 10,000 mileage costs an average of $1300 more! For a unit that clocked less than 20,000 miles the price is only $270 off a new unit!

With more than 3 months of waiting list, Toyota is looking at ramping up it's production.
