The next Mini, scheduled to debut in year 2015, will increase in size and also family members. Strategic collaboration between BMW and Fiat will result in the C-Evo platform that will be used in the next Fiat Punto Grande, Alfa Romeo MiTO will go into the Mini.
This move alone is able to shed off 150 - 200 Million Euros for both BMW and Fiat. It would be good if we could see one platform being used by global manufacturers to eventually save potentially gazillions of dollars.
