The much awaited 2010 BMW 5 Series, many had speculated on the absurdly popular 5 Series' successor. Being immensely popular and successfully positioned itself not as a mid size luxury 'executive car' (Read: Boring); the BMW E60 5 Series had successfully distant itself away from the usual rivals of Lexus GS, Audi A6 and Mercedes E-Class.
BMW had created a game where they themselves are playing in, they've created the large size sports sedan, where it proved to be immensely popular, selling by looks and the propeller badge alone, with a claustrophobic interior and an almost uncomfortable rear seats. Teaching manufacturers that compete in this segment, to put more focus on the front than the rear, brain washing car buyers that 'Cool Guys' drive themselves. Putting thousands of chauffeur and drivers out of business, died of hunger with Bangle's deadly marker pens.
Well we all guessed 2010 will be a very exciting year, where the new E-Class and the 5 Series will fight alongside again, and there are already tons of renderings of possible looks of the next 5 Series, let's have a glance. (And a scoop of the future 5 Series which we could not figure out what lies underneath.)
The 2010 5 Series of course, being a BMW will definitely include all the bells and whistles, jam-packed with technology and we believe, will be even sharper looking, providing more power, but consuming less fuel. The 5.0 liter V10 will be replaced by a smaller displacement, twin turbocharged engine, possible a V8 TT.
