Baby Maserati to rival Porsche 911 ?
With the excellent Quattroporte catching the first momentum, and the Gran Turismo acting as a sling shot, Maserati had just ride the locomotive of economic imbalance (Poor poorer, Rich richer) that's currently happening all around the world.
Passengers who had already had an enjoyable ride include names like Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and Lamborghini, some who had tripled, even quadrupled their previous annual volumes.
Indefinitely, the knock on the door from board of directors with a sleezy smile on the face is very much expected. For automotive execs, it's like playing baseball, unlike footballers who get to retreat to their benches after a hat trick, when you hit a home run, you would have to go for another and another and another run till your out of breath. (Check Aston Martin)
But is there a market for a baby Gran Turismo? Given that Ferrari's F430 is highly sought after, and the California was just launched, Audi R8 sledging it's hammer in, the Mercedes SL which could compete with anything from 6 Series to 911s, to Aston Martins given engine choices range from SL350 all the way to SL65 AMG Black Series or they could even give Zonda's a scare with some push from Brabus' crazy 6.3 liter 730hp engine.
With the market so full of established players, is there any room to fit a Maserati? Well consider that Porsche sells more than 100,000 sportscars a year, there's definitely a room to not end up walking up to the wrong Porsche in a parking lot.

I am sure for those who appreciates the Maserati will continue to support it. After all, different brands has different styles of its own.
