Speculations can end now. KIA had unleashed pictures of the new KIA Forte/Spectra; supposingly their bread and butter model fighting against Civic/Corolla/Lancer but giving a run for their money.
WW believes there won't be much exciting 4.2 V8 Twin Turbocharged 500hp stuffs running around cars like these; hence presumably (100% convincingly) it will be equipped with 4 cylinder configurations from 1.6 - 2.0 liter displacements, with variable valve timing technologies, definitely a diesel version for Europe, perhaps a hatchback as Europeans don't generally favor sedans.
Ultimately, hopefully it won't follow Toyota's footsteps in their forever cost cutting quest; showing the new Corolla carving corners whilst offering it with Torsion Beams, where Civic, Lancer does independent rear suspensions.
