BMW posting record sales for Q1, Q2 2008

Finally some good news from the automotive industry, BMW had announced record sales and encouraging growths from all subsidiaries under the propeller marque.

Selling 764,874 vehicles during the first half of 2008, it's the best being achieved in BMW's history, with BMW itself having achieved a growth of 2.4% (Mind you, luxury market and despite the onslaught of Audi's double digit annual growth), MINI achieving a wonderful 17.9% growth and finally Rolls Royce a staggering 68.4% growth thanks to emerging markets like China. The only subsidiary that had a slight fall is BMW Motorcycles, with sales falling 5.6% behind last year.
